Crystal Gunns Leaves Teaching Gig

Filed under: Adult Legal News, Adult News, Articles — Tags: , — JupaMan @ 4:33 PM

By Bob Preston

Offering no more than a one-line resignation, Louisa Tuck, aka Crystal Gunns, has left her job as a teacher’s aide at a New Jersey elementary school.
The 32-year-old Tuck wrote in her letter that she was leaving D’Ippolito Elementary School “in good standing,” though she made no mention of the controversy that surrounded her “outing” as a former adult film performer.

After leaving the industry, Tuck took the teacher’s aide job, working in the school’s cafeteria and helping out on the playground. Vineland School spokesperson John Sbrana said that he found out about Tuck’s past because of complaints from parents – parents who are apparently fans of Tuck’s past work.

“This isn’t the kind of information that you come across accidentally,” Sbrana said. “You’d have to go quite out of your way to find out.”

When word first broke about Tuck’s work in adult, the school and school board took no action, because as Sbrana said, “She has not done anything wrong. She has not committed any crime. She’s entitled to her privacy like anyone else. There is no action against her.”

Vineland School District Superintendent Charles Ottinger agreed. In a statement released in November, he said, “It’s one thing if it’s an illegal activity, because that would come up in the check. There is no way for us to know if a person is involved in these types of activities.”

But despite those sentiments from the school and school board, Tuck’s story spread through hundreds of news outlets, even though Tuck limited her public statements on the matter. Tuck’s attorney, Jeff DiLazzero, hasn’t commented, either.

Tuck’s resignation will not be official until the local board of education approves it. Their next meeting is set for Jan. 21. Until then, Tuck could still change her mind and keep her job, because no one has asked her to leave it.

New Hampshire Supreme Court Rules Porn Production Legal

Filed under: Adult Legal News, Adult News, Articles — Tags: , — JupaMan @ 12:08 PM

In a surprising legal decision the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled December 4, 2008, that the production of hardcore content is now legal and it is a protected First Amendment right. The New Hampshire decision often cites the 1988 Freeman decision from the California Supreme Court that basically helped pave the way for Los Angeles to become the adult entertainment of the world.

Click below for a copy of the actual decision from the Court. We will be analyzing this decision further and authoring a future article on the importance of this holding.

“Porn Not so Taboo Anymore”

Filed under: Adult News, Articles — Tags: , — JupaMan @ 11:34 AM

–spectatornews.com

[spectatornews.com]- Even after the release of “Pirate’s of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End” almost two years ago, pirates are still relevant in many more ways than Homecoming t-shirts with “Why is the rum gone?” printed on them.

While the coast of Somalia has had its fair share of problems without Captain Barbosa or Will Turner, a few other pirate movies have set records and made headlines.

According to an article in The Daily Bruin, UCLA’s student newspaper, the university’s Campus Events Commission chose to run a free screening of “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge” last Wednesday on campus. The group also brought in the film’s director and many cast members for a post-screening question and answer session.

That may not sound too thrilling, but this pirate movie isn’t really tied into the previous three blockbuster installments. With a budget of $8 million, “Pirates II” broke the previous record of $3 million for a pornographic film previously held by the first “Pirates” movie.

Although the screening and question and answer session was deemed a success by the events commission, it brings up an interesting gray area in film production publicity that isn’t very surprising.

According to the article, the reason the commission chose to show the movie and host the Q&A was to “spark (a) dialogue of how the adult film industry, mainstream media, and regular films are becoming so (similar).”

Most students around the country were not alive to see the buzz and controversy surrounding “Deep Throat” in the 1970s, which was also screened by the UCLA commission. But the film was commonly well-received by mainstream media and opened many discussions previously forbidden by generations afraid of saying a three-letter word.

Because of “Pirates II’s” colossal budget for a porn film, it was treated to a big screen release in September at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Many of the stars of the film were impressed with the Hollywood-like feel given to a genre of film that is normally screened in a building where you can only enter in the back door and the windows are opaque. Yet another example of a closing gap between porn and feature movies.

So why would Hollywood continue to incorporate pornography into its world? Simply put, sex sells.

Scores to Shut Down before End of the Year

Filed under: Adult Legal News, Adult News, Articles — Tags: , , — JupaMan @ 8:30 PM

–NY Daily News

It’s the last lap dance for Scores, the strip club empire whose comely babes attracted A-list celebs and money-burning execs.

Once the highest-grossing strip club chain in the world and a hangout for Madonna, Howard Stern, Russell Crowe, Jason Giambi and countless others, Scores will shut down before the new year, company officials said.

“It’s over; it is what it is,” said Scores lawyer George Weinbaum. Co-owner Elliot Osher confirmed the closing.

A weak economy, the loss of the W. 27th St. Scores’ liquor license and the possibility the E. 60th St. joint would lose its booze ticket all helped do in the flesh factory.

A new strip joint with a liquor license will open at the East Side location, “but it won’t be Scores and the owners will be different,” Osher said.

The West Side Scores has been closed since May, when the State Liquor Authority took its license after a prostitution bust.

Founded in 1990 with one club at 333 E. 60th St., Scores grew into a national chain of seven clubs, including Scores West on 27th St., which took in as much as $400,000 a night, according to sources.

In its heyday, the East Side club was a mecca for sports stars like Giambi and Mark Messier, actors like Crowe and of course Stern, who talked up the club on his radio show. The Knicks held parties there, and eventually Scores became a publicly traded company.

The clubs were honey traps for out-of-town businessmen, who blew expense accounts on lap dances and champagne magnums, only to have their hangovers worsened by mind-boggling tabs.

A CEO of a St. Louis company sued the club when he racked up a $241,000 tab on his corporate American Express card in one blurry night.

He settled for an undisclosed amount.

Scores was the target of several criminal probes over the years, with allegations of silent underworld partners and tax evasion charges.

On Wednesday night, at the E. 60th St. location, a lone customer downed a half-price beer as club employees kept promising dancers would take the stage “any minute

There is No Harm In Pornography

Filed under: Adult News, Opinions, Rants — Tags: — JupaMan @ 3:06 AM

by: Alfredo Aleman

Pornography as we know it today, has been a form of adult entertainment since the early 1800s. While the graphic depictions found on walls and artifacts have been replaced by real life pictorials and video, pornography now more than ever has left its mark on popular culture, as it is a $10 billion industry. But is the ever-growing industry causing more harm than good?

Most people fail to see the usefulness of porn to society. Porn has become more than just adult entertainment. It is a way for people to escape the stresses of the world. It also serves as an aphrodisiac for couples looking for new ways to spice up their relationships. While there are many uses for porn, its main purpose is to just arouse the viewer and help them relax their body and mind. So why try to censor it?

Pornography has become a medium that brings people from both genders together. Men and women alike have embraced the industry and with the Internet, couples have found financial success by creating homemade movies and posting them on the web.

The industry faces constant attacks from various groups, and is blamed for the violent acts involving sexual aggression. But to blame many of society’s woes on the industry would be nothing short of unfair. Rape and spousal abuse existed long before any depictions of sexual acts were carved into a wall.

Porn is intended for adult audiences for entertainment purposes. All we can hope is that as adults, we are responsible for the type and amount of content we expose ourselves to.

Porn isn’t for everyone, but it is out there for anyone to embrace. There are many genres within the industry to appeal to anyone’s taste. But why judge anyone who enjoys porn? Better yet, why attempt to censor a form of entertainment embraced by millions of people?

The Supreme Court has always ruled in favor of pornography falling back on the First Amendment because taking away a person’s freedom of choice and freedom of expression is not only un-American, it’s simply wrong.
